TOP TIPS FOR FUTURE BALLERS
🛑 5 TOP TIPS FOR BALLERS🛑
- TRAINING - you have to put in the hours. Practice really does make perfect, especially when trying to become a master of a position, technique etc. No one else can do it but you, but once you have put in those 10,000 hours. You’ll know it is worth it.
- NUTRITION - if you want to be the best, you need to sort out your food intake. Whether that is a calorie deficit/surplus, reducing processed foods or incorporating fruits & veg. The food you fuel your body with will effect your reaction time as well as your energy levels, don’t make the mistake of forgetting about this.
- SLEEP, PREVENTION & RECOVERY - for athletes the suggested amount of sleep is between 6-7.5 hours of good quality  sleep. Injury prevention is key, foam rolling, stretching/movement, S&C can all be used in preventing common injuries in athletes. Recovery is intertwined with these, as even your nutrition will impact this, are you hitting your protein intake? Are you allowing yourself enough rest and sleep to recovery from DOMS and physical injury? Are you foam rolling and stretching to help reduce the chance of getting an injury?
- GOAL SETTING - This is often overlooked as it is deemed as unnecessary. You could not be more wrong. Goal setting helps you achieve your goals, SMART is often used to help with goal setting (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant & Time-based), if all these are covered, then consider your goal SMART. YOU SHOULD HAVE SHORT, MEDIUM AND LONG TERM GOALS. Don’t miss out
- IMMERSE YOURSELF. Become an idol, with your work ethic, dedication, your attitude and appreciate you and how far you get. If you truly want to make it, then you better do whatever it takes otherwise someone else who is more motivated will take your chance.
